Canteen Supervisor

BHN is currently looking to hire an experienced Canteen Supervisor for the 2021 Winter Netball Competition.

The competition runs over 15 weeks between 16^th April and 11^th September.

To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning, time management and prioritisation skills. Excellent communication skills and people management skills are essential to lead a team of staff and work effectively with others.

You will report to the Vice President of the Association as well as the Finance Committee on the day to day operation of the canteen.

You will perform a range of tasks relating to the operation of the canteen including but not limited to:

• Reconciliation of monies taken
• Rostering of staff
• Supervision and management of staff onsite
• Ordering and checking all supplies against invoices and delivery dockets
• Ensuring stock is kept at appropriate levels
• Conduct a monthly stocktake
• Minimise waste including monitoring and recording all food wastage
• Providing leadership to canteen staff
• Induction and training of canteen staff
• Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all in the canteen according to WHS legislation
• Ensuring that the cleaning procedures are carried out
• Logging maintenance issues
• Fostering a pleasant working environment for all employees 

Regular working hours are:

• Friday evenings during competition from 16:30 - 20:30 (commencing 16^th April and ends 20^th August )
• Saturdays during competition from 06:30 - 17:00 (commencing 17^th April and ends 11^th September)
• Note: Final hours are to be confirmed pending competition format and for discussion

  Additional hours required:

• Baulkham Hills Netball Representative Carnival: Sunday 23^rd May 2021
• HART Junior State Titles: Saturday 26^th – Monday 28^th June 2021
• Note: Final hours are to be confirmed however likely to be 05:00 – 17:00 pending the competition format and timings – for discussion

Pre-requisites:

• Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
• Food Safety Certificate
• NSW Working with Children Check  
• Australian Drivers Licence is preferred but not essential

Remuneration is paid in accordance with the Fast Food Industry Award 2010
